The problem
Working with structured data often means switching between a formatter, a schema editor, a query tool and a graph viewer. JSONScope brings these workflows into a single web application.
What it does
- Edit JSON in text, tree, form and hierarchical views.
- Validate, format, compare and transform documents between supported data formats.
- Explore data with JSONPath, queries, schemas and interactive visualizations.
- Use AI-assisted analysis and generation alongside the core JSON tools.
Engineering approach
The current product, JSONScope V2, combines Next.js, React and TypeScript with specialist editing and visualization libraries. Authentication, document persistence and AI integrations support a broader workflow than the original visual prototype.
My contribution
Product design and full-stack development: bringing editing, querying, visualization and assisted analysis into one developer-focused workspace.
From V1 to V2
The first version explored visual navigation of JSON structures. V2 expanded that foundation into a more complete workspace with multiple editors, conversion tools, schemas, querying and AI features. Visit the original version below to see the earlier approach.
Current scope
V2 is the main product. The original version remains available as a separate historical experience; both belong to the same project.
