The problem
Financial information is scattered across transaction notifications, spreadsheets and separate tools. sysGiD Control helps organize it into a coherent view of personal spending and commitments.
What it does
- Record and review transactions with categories and merchant information.
- Track recurring payments, subscriptions, obligations and associated transactions.
- Explore financial information through dashboards, charts and tables.
- Import and export data, with authenticated ingestion workflows for external sources.
Engineering approach
The application is deployed on Vercel with PostgreSQL on Neon. Its integration approach includes a Google Apps Script workflow for processing supported transaction notifications and passing normalized information to an authenticated endpoint.
My contribution
End-to-end product development, financial data modeling, user workflows and integration of capture, storage and reporting.
Current scope
An operating SaaS product. This is the modern personal finance application, distinct from the historical SysGiD enterprise experiments. Supported import sources depend on the configured integration.
